What will Nick Walker do after TMA has ended??, by aginghippie on Dec 18, 2008 22:36:01 GMT 1, You were offered over ยฃ50k? That's a nice offer...what piece is it? Nikers?
It's The Empire's State (topboy's avatar) which I was lucky enough to buy from the Carmichael show just before Bonham's drove the prices through the roof. Since it was reasonably priced and I bought it without the intention of reselling it wouldn't matter to me if the market value fell to zero - in other words it would take a lot more than ยฃ50k to pry it loose.
In the longer term the TMA work will do well (little in this area is going to do well in the short term) because it has a broader appeal. In the TMA style I don't like the studies because they seem what they are, a fragment of a bigger image, but I think that it is quite possible to take the TMA style on from where it is now.
