I feel like the grappling hook would be hard to hang in a way that makes it seem like 'art' if that makes sense - I'd imagine it would get overlooked if I hung it on a wall, since it's a little subtle and people may just think it's a crucifix. Would be great in a room full of art. Basically context.

My wall I guess, but a manky hook v a Nola... money aint a reason..it's what I want to see when I look at my wall.. I get it, you want to get rich... I want to see a print I love.. lets agree to disagree..art is now money..I love art. X

1. There aren’t 600 prints in the series, off the top of my head I’d suggest there’s under 400
2. I refer you too gwb for how meaningless print edition size is to value
3. Appreciation is ‘lumpy’ at best happening in fits and starts
4. I’m not sure how comparing differing statues amounts to a whole heap of beans, considering grappling hook for most would be much less wall friendly (in a manner of words)
5. Nola is a very wall friendly image and the original version to my eyes is the best. Theres

Funnily enough I sold two of those prints and received 12k gdp .... so your 7k is slightly off to say the least and conveniently forgets I offered 5k on top too

You cant hang it on a wall, its got 3 sides, so its really for hanging off a ceiling
good for corners of a high ceiling room, its going to dominate, thats for sure

It was an LA moron. The LA set is lot rarer than the reg edition though.
The hook is a difficult piece for a lot of reasons. For me, I see it as a mix between Christ with shopping bags and a wachtower. Niche.
i think I sold my CWSB in 2011 for around 10k gbp I think. At that point nola was like 3.5/4. Now nola is worth more. so who knows what happens next. Can't blame a guy for trying.
However, I agree at this point it might be tough trade as whoever dropped 40k or 48 with taxes could have easily just dropped that on a NOLA if they wanted to.

Thank you a considered post  ... totally agree. It’s just a shot in the dark to open a dialogue, if anyone was tempted it would be the start of a discussion not the ending position. Of course perhaps throwing this Nola trade out there, gets me some other interesting offers

Those names were submitted to PC who then picked 26 and notified everyone by email. As for the hook being difficult to display, it comes with a steel bracket and screws to properly hang as displayed in the hotel. Epic piece imo as is the Nola.
To qualify, one had to have stayed at the hotel and submitted their inquiry while there. Those names were submitted to PC who then picked 26 and notified everyone by email. As for the hook being difficult to display, it comes with a steel bracket and screws to properly hang as displayed in the hotel. Epic piece imo as is the Nola.

... totally agree. It’s just a shot in the dark to open a dialogue, if anyone was tempted it would be the start of a discussion not the ending position. Of course perhaps throwing this Nola trade out there, gets me some other interesting offers
