they are definatly still there I can get one in basket within a minute or two...

So just to get this clear, an artist career is validated by how fast he/she can sell out a run of prints???
The fact that an artist can pretty much sell out a show before it even opens and sell the rest of the original works in a matter of days means nothing though, right???
I Just want to be clear on this coming from an astute master of the arts such as yourself...

D*Face What Have I Become Spiderman Print, by G-Man on Feb 24, 2009 21:21:23 GMT 1, I have to say that I like this return to being able to ponder a purchase before pulling the trigger or not
Means that I dont have to make a split second decision that I may regret later
Although this is really cool print I'm gonna give it a miss as superheroes dont go down well with my missus!

D*Face What Have I Become Spiderman Print, by I like pictures on Feb 25, 2009 0:26:54 GMT 1, Surprised fxmas made such a comment given how much D face stuff he's got. Although you should expect such a comment from a man like him, he'll probably being buy them up on the cheap and then giving it large about how good they are to try and make a buck.

You think?
I tend to think people maybe liked him when he was coming up with exciting new artwork. Not rehashing ultra old stuff (Street Improvements) or just literally taking an image directly from a comic and adding new text and a couple of changes.
His old work actually held your interest for longer than 3 seconds, this superhero stuff leaves me colder than Cheryl Cole's left nipple when she's at the summit of Kilimanjaro.

D*Face What Have I Become Spiderman Print, by neilm on Feb 25, 2009 16:53:21 GMT 1, Personally, I do think, yes. Such is the nature of "art", its a purely personal appreciation isnt it. An awful lot of work that is touted around these boards, including, on occassion, work by those who appear to be the "elder statesmen" of this little forum, leaves me utterly untouched in any way shape or form.
I've been fascinated by the Dface backlash in recent months, and I dont think anybody can deny its well and truly underway. In my, humble, opinion he is creating some of the most dramatic (in scale and impact) pieces of work out there right now.
Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing members of the backlash contingent, and I damn then to deny they wont be there, scrapping on the floor over anything that isnt nailed down at the next solo show...
d*face is dead, long live d*face.

If he comes up with something forward thinking and ground-breaking I'll be very happy. I like a lot of the old D work and own a few pieces, the new stuff though... maybe it stems from my dislike of comics, I don't know, but one thing is for sure from me, it's not a back-lash, merely an observation that his new works are by far the weakest he's done as far as I remember. I would love his next show to blow things out of the water.

liked to think he is going to be here for a very long time still kicking myself about missing the superman 1/1 at last show but sure next show be amazed again... time will tell..s
