Think Nelly Duff has them for sale too. Have been very tempted for a while. May well have to take the plunge and get one. I agree though not his best!

Can you explain what exactly it is about that that you find worrying.
Surely it's better that people base their purchasing decisions on the strength of an image, rather than how fashionable the artist is??

I mean the image is fashionable, which is why it sells, rather than the overall talent of the artist influencing the purchase. I'd have thought that an artist that has really made it, like Banksy for example, would easily sell any work he made available. But that doesn't seem to be the case here for Mr Walker. So I wonder, if his other work drops out of fashion (fashions change), whether he will be remembered long term!?

Or would you buy a Grannies or Applause for the price of a Happy Chopper or Kate Moss (if so this may be my lucky day...)?
Everything will sell at a price and it's just a case of getting the price right. Take auctions as an example, if a Banksy doesn't sell is that because he lacks stay power and is finished as an artist, or because the reserve was set to high - the answer is obvious and applies to all markets.

Bit of a difference between an artist that can sell signed prints a prices between ยฃ2500 and ยฃ6000+, and an artist that sells one print for ยฃ2000 and can't sell another for ยฃ50! Some artists are only popular for certain images, so I'd assume their future is less certain.

I think that auction houses are like the law.Once a precedent has been set on an artist and their value then theres no going back.

On POW in 2003 or 4 I remember that there was a caption next to one of banksy's prints that said "no one wants to buy them absolutely no one", and they were around for months, it could of been the Tesco soup cans or possibly the Grannies, this was at a time when Banksy's other stuff was selling out quickly so it's possible IMO that it could be a similar situation in that people just don't dig the image in general but some people buy it cos its an affordable entry level Walker, and some people buy it because they like it, and other people buy it hoping the price will go up, but it doesn't have a big buzz about it as fundamentally people don't go that wild for the image and also there isnt a gallery marketing it.
