Ha Ha that was the best part....no other graffiti for blocks and tons of Paparazzi hanging around....primo real estate...let's see how long that wall stays white?
G-Man love the green/red color combo off Nicks site even better.....

WALKER IN LA.... PART DEUX!, by Happy Shopper on Mar 9, 2009 11:05:09 GMT 1, I quite like the 2 with hands growing out of the plants. Nice little theme running through them. I could see that continuing and becoming quite iconic. But what has a girl coming out of a bowler hat got to do with it?

WALKER IN LA.... PART DEUX!, by sand on Mar 9, 2009 11:15:20 GMT 1, Not too sure about his new street pieces in LA...technically very good stencils...but they just don't capture my imagination...if it was by any other artist other than Nick I don't think most people would look at it twice.
Seems very poor in comparison to the iconic vandal work. The street piece of 'Life's too short' was stunning.
However i'm still very eager to see some more new work and see what he has 'up his sleeve'.
Any news on a 2009 show?

WALKER IN LA.... PART DEUX!, by graeme501 on Mar 9, 2009 11:38:00 GMT 1, i think they are great, he shows proper skill with a can in the lighting and shading, especially on the girl coming out of the bowler hat, much more impressive than a simple stencil that anyone could put up

not looking to kick off here, but where is the skillful light and shading ? and where are the skills with a can ?? And as for the stencil work, Id say there are a few people on here that cut as good a stencil ifnot better than him
Nice to see he's been working on his tag though, best bit there imo

WALKER IN LA.... PART DEUX!, by sand on Mar 9, 2009 11:52:53 GMT 1, I think Nick's stencil skills are very very good, they don't look like 'flat' 2d stencils that other artists do.
I remember his spraycan stencil in the charity sketch book that Harveyn organized. It look at though you could put your hand into the page and pull out a real spraycan. Brilliantly executed.
However the 'coat of arms' and all this new LA work does nothing for me other than show he has the skills to cut a mean stencil.
I guess Walker's a bit like marmite. However whenever he releases a new print everyones after it to make a quick buck!
hmmm...
No doubting 2008 was an excellent year for Mr Walker...really want to see how his new body of work will compare.

WALKER IN LA.... PART DEUX!, by kay7four on Mar 9, 2009 16:41:12 GMT 1, Cashman, You dont think it takes skill with a can to get that kind of detail? I thought that was a real planter before taking a closer look. I dont mean to disrespect you but i cut stencils and get out on the street and this is some of the cleanest cutting and spraying out there..
Mr. Walker is one of the only guys out there that is maticulous with his work. I have never seen a bad cut or spray coming out of Walker. I think its real easy to talk shit if you dont cut stencils or use a spraycan, but believe me Nick makes shit look real easy and its most definitely not easy.
Keep up the good work Walker, thanks for blessing us in L.A. with your street work.

WALKER IN LA.... PART DEUX!, by seidbereit on Mar 9, 2009 16:57:04 GMT 1, Hmmm.... been looking at the top one for the last ten minutes or so and can't quite work out what it's supposed to be telling us (by which I mean I assume it's meant to have some message or other). Same goes for the arm/spraycan/bowler hat combos.... Anyone got any ideas?
The Apish tag looks good, but then it always did.

Fair play Nick, keep up the good work fella!!

Hmmm.... I would have expected the story behind the piece to be a lot easier to spot than that TBH. Nice theory but I don't really buy it. This is street art after all so surely it should be accessible to the simplest of scrotes - if that be true this piece seems a bit wide of the mark.

Doubt it, the sword was returned to the lake as there was no body left to wield it, unless he's announcing his retirement
