The investigation is ongoing. So as to not compromise the cases against the three people charged, please avoid discussing on the forum the specific details of any direct or indirect dealings with them. This information is being kept out of the public domain for good reason. I would ask that Super Mick delete the above post, or that Admin delete it on his/her behalf.
If anyone fears they may have purchased a fake print from one of the people charged, they should contact DC Lawson via telephone number +44 (0)20 7230 2150 or via e-mail Ian.Lawson@met.police.uk

What 'the f@ck' I mean is New Orleans was so specific and clear in its message. This seems a bit half hearted. I don't understand the connection between Timbuktu in the Sahara and some of these these images. Africa has 900,000,000 million people in it and to choose Timbuktu as a place to make statements about the continent, if that is Banksy's motivation, does not make sense to me. Obama has just visted Accra - maybe that was an opportunity missed. There seems to be mixed meassages. Unless the point of the work is simply to use stencils in Timbuktu?
It is just a bit dissappointing to me. Thats my reaction to it, thats all. I maybe wrong. The work itself is great. I hope its part off a wider campaign. Fantastic to see graf across the continent. It would be nice to see the involvement with local artists like at Bethleham. I hope the donation is true too. Thats fantastic.

not sure if anyone had uploaded a photo of the michael jackson "shrine" so here's one...
the queue was pretty epic this weekend - i got there at 9.45 and eventually got in at 11, but the queue was just getting bigger and bigger. i'd seen loads of photos before the show but i was so impressed by the scale of so many of the pieces - they're just huge, really impressive. as has been said plenty of times before i love the idea of the work being throughout the museum.
this was my favourite piece, the one that i'd love on my wall. i think it's a great mix between the crude oil work with a specific nod to the museum show (or am i completely wrong and is it actually an older piece?)
if anyone knows how much this one was i'd love a pm, just to appease my curiousity.

Could the Banksy Show be extended past the 31st August?
Would they be looking at the number coming in the doors each day and thinking it might be silly to close the show while the numbers are still so high.
