Empire TMA - No. 80, by kahuna on Mar 20, 2009 2:28:57 GMT 1, Is number 80 owned by any forum member?
I "purchased" a copy from an ebay seller who said it was number 80. Over a month later it has not arrived and seller has no tracking info even though it was sent insured. Now I am wondering if the sale was a scam.

Empire TMA - No. 80, by kahuna on Mar 20, 2009 3:48:26 GMT 1, Claimed has been filed.
Seller advised me that Parcelforce had told him delivery time to the USA was 20 days. I waited patiently until 28 days and nothing. When I contacted Paypal, they advised funds were released to seller on 20th day and he now has 10 days to respond.
Guessing the 20 days delivery time frame from Parcelforce was BS so that he could collect the cash from Paypal prior to me filing a dispute. Notably, he has failed to respond to any emails for 4 days.

Empire TMA - No. 80, by Martin Whatson on Mar 20, 2009 8:20:07 GMT 1, I recently sent a large package to Japan, and that took over a month to get there, but its wierd that he dont have any tracking info for you! And remmeber not all people (unlike most of us on here ) check their mail every day or even every week!
Hope this ends up good for you!

Empire TMA - No. 80, by Deleted on Mar 20, 2009 8:34:37 GMT 1, i have sent 3 items by parcel force and all 3 turned up very late, by the time one of them arrived at its destination they had already paid the insurance claim. never ever use parcel force the are useless. I only ever use Flight Logisitics for art outside the Uk now. It is a shame this has happened to you. 20 days sounds a long time, maybe contact BRP they may be able to tell you if that person bought the print in ths first place.

Yup, as long as you have the name of the seller and the print number... I had to do this once with an ebay item and it was not an issue at all for BRP to help me out...
I've also sent an item to the UK that took over 2 months to show up, never use the regular mail service, pay the extra and get tracking, saves the headache/heartache in the end and well worth the added cost...

Empire TMA - No. 80, by torontojon on Mar 20, 2009 13:32:12 GMT 1, Yeah BRP will have no issue verifying. I've never heard of parcel force but in Canada we have canada post and it sucks terribly. I only use UPS now and its 3-5 days delivery guaranteed. Best of luck, hate to see things like this happen. Jon
And PS, if there is no tracking number then you will win with paypal 100% Im sure you know that!

Empire TMA - No. 80, by kahuna on Mar 20, 2009 16:26:51 GMT 1, Thanks for all the comments and feedback. I will give BRP a call.
What makes me suspicious is that, at my request, the buyer "sent" the print insured but has no tracking info. Do Parcelforce provide a tracking number for insured packages?
Most prints mailed from the UK have typically arrived within 7-10 days.

Can the seller not give you the UK side tracking number so you can have a look online? It should be on their receipt from the post office.

Now 5 days into the Paypal dispute process and they have not responded. One would have assumed if they had a receipt or tracking info they would have provided to Paypal to prevent a chargeback.

Empire TMA - No. 80, by kahuna on Mar 25, 2009 22:23:04 GMT 1, Amazingly after 37 days, the Empire TMA print was delivered.
The Parcelforce label includes a tracking number and insurance info.
No idea why the seller did not provide this info when he was asked as it would have saved lots of hassle doubting his integrity with Paypal.
Now I have to drop the print at the frame shop so I can hang it alongside London and Hollywood.

Empire TMA - No. 80, by cannaebefannied on Mar 26, 2009 11:08:30 GMT 1, I am trying to resolve something with parcelfarce at the moment, I sent a package to my bro in Denmark on the 12th of March, no sign of it by yesterday so I emailed them, had a reply saying it didn't even leave the UK till the 24th & would take up to 6 days to arrive. Bunch of c**t, I won't use them again, cost 30 quid to send it too. lazy bastards

Depends if you pay the extra for guaranteed delivery times (which they can't guarantee) I paid insurance & got a reference number, but this is not a tracking number & can't be traced once it's left the UK. Fucking pointless service !
