Framing advice, by a4mnt on May 21, 2007 12:51:05 GMT 1, I've just posted details of a guy who comes to your home in the SW London area (sorry to those outside of it). Its in the framing section under a thread called London framers.
He charged me £60 to frame The Hick. Including double depth border, (about 6mm deep and 40-50mm wide), acid free backing, delivery to my home 20 mins away from him, total size around 1.2m x 50cm.
I can thoroughly recommend and will be giving him 5 or 6 more prints to do for me.

Framing advice, by Greg on May 21, 2007 20:09:10 GMT 1, walked past the framing shop on the way home, unfortunately always closed when I'm out of work, but i did see that my d*face print and Banksy print were finished...
My "Flag" print looked stunning framed, that print still has to be one of the nicest releases yet (especially as it was a bargain £100!!!) but there mounted in a medium black frame with a acid free chalk mount and UV glass all for £152 for the 3 of them together! morons is to be finished by thursday... ill get some images once there back home!

Crikey I pay about £120 - £150 per frame without UV glass.

Framing advice, by mwjm0 on May 25, 2007 20:54:13 GMT 1, one thing i worry about when getting my prints framed is that the price (if you are lucky enough) you buy them from POW are not reflective of their true value. So if you pay 600 quid for a signed morons but its worth 4-5 times as much, what happens if the framers f**k the print up by accident. i presume they will compensate you to the amount that you paid only on showing them the POW receipt. does anyone insure their prints for more prior to framing to guard against this?

Would have thought they would compensate you for the cost of there current value! would'nt they have to seek a quote from a 3rd party/gallery of some kind and then the insurers would fork out the money from that? If you went in there with a picasso and they damaged it, surely they would not pay you on its original cost!

Yeah I'm with you phoeton, also if you tell the framers how much it's worth before they start they'll know what they're dealing with.
