I would like to know how people have stored theirs if they haven't framed it - I have an A1 folder but obviously it wont fit in that!

need help with micallef JD, by CR on Feb 7, 2007 17:40:36 GMT 1, Does anyone know where I can buy two A0 sheets of acid free mounting board or similar.
I figure i can put my Micallef JD between two hard sheets of mounting board and tape one side up to keep it safe and flat until i can afford to frame it.

need help with micallef JD, by saltandiron on Feb 7, 2007 17:43:43 GMT 1, I had a great big faile out on a table in the spare room for a couple of weeks. it was in direct sunlight so we kept the curtains for a couple of weeks till it got framed.

I can top that. When I was awaiting my cop framing, I had it under the sheets in my spare bedroom between tissue paper and shedloads of card board.......cos I hadnt bought any curtains ;D
Take it OUT OF THE TUBE ASAP! The sooner the better!
Not managing to find too much in either tissue or storage folios in A0 anywhere. I do however keep meaning to follow my own advice and look at the framing/storing sections on this very informative, far superior fans forum. ;D

need help with micallef JD, by Strange Al on Feb 7, 2007 19:27:00 GMT 1, If you're in London, try Atlantis Art Supplies in Whitechapel - www.atlantisart.co.uk/. It's an artist's dream! They stock both A0 portfolios and A0 Acid Free mountboard (I bought some this weekend).
Plus, there used to be a couple of banksy rats on the wall next door (not sure if they're still there though). What more could you want?

Used to be being the operative word....they look to have been the latest victim of a piece being removed from the streets. Looks as if they used a chisel in this instance, as half of its still there (last I saw) Some knobber had already sprayed a load of c r a p over it prior to that too anyways.
Which is a shame, cos having re-inspected that pic I noticed the CarTrain tag.....who also did this one which is alright in its own right, annoying he chose to do one over a Banksy really.
And thanks jjoschi44, answered my question from another thread ;D

I think they were around £80. Atlantis have a catalogue on their website. It's not the most user friendly site, but you should be able to check the prices. Otherwise, give them a buzz. I've always found them to be pretty helpful.

need help with micallef JD, by stylus on Feb 12, 2007 15:08:24 GMT 1, Hi all,
I went to Atlantis at the weekend - it's an awesome place for arty geeks like (some of) us.
I picked up some A0 Mountboard and Acid free sleeves. the pricing vaired between products, but nothing was more than a few quid.
I was gazing at the racks of spray paint, when I looked to my right to see Paul Insect there, picking up a few.
Sadly though, the Banksy rats on the side are all but gone.
Hey ho.
