Some pieces have silly high valuations, others well below par. My guess is that on the day normal service will resume and this will be > £10k when you add the hefty buyers premium

Buyers premium - 23.5% (inc VAT)
VAT - 17.5%
So a hammer price of say £1,000 ends up costing £1,451. That's an additional £451 for every grand on the hammer price.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Can someone check my maths, not been to an auction and looking on the t&c's, final take home prices are bonkers..

Hammer price is £1000, buyers premium 20% and VAT we all know.
Add 20% to hammer price ie 200 and then multiply that figure by 1.175 which equals 235. In this example total price is £1235. Hope that helps.
