give me your feedback on "slammer", by mose on Dec 27, 2009 0:41:35 GMT 1, Admin , as i said previously , i do not have to behave professionally here, i can make any madcap comments i want , and if or when i cross the line i can be suspended or banned/deleted whatever you want to call it . You however are in a position where behving professionally is of utmost importance. What pedestal you put my comments on is totally up to you, I'm not held down by what rules you would personally like me to follow on my own site. I'm not gonna come round your house and tell you what colour curtain to have and if your gonna smoke you must do it outside.
Yes, your own site. But you forget the most important thing; it is not your community. Your comments, actions, and inactions have had a subtantial, deleterious impact on an already weakening community.
You receive respect for starting this site as an internet-based gathering spot for the street art community. You, as well as people like theOmethod(yahoo Obey group), Noverflow(thegiant.org) and the Banksy ebay board folks were founders and pioneers. Your groundwork impacted/touched/brought together people worlwide.
Now, a few years later, you continue to lose what's left of that respect as you laugh and fiddle as your little Rome smoulders. And it really is a shame.
There are many forces already tearing the community apart and pushing street art head first into insignificance. At this point, you can be part of any possible solution or continue to be part of the problem. You can take positive steps or continue to be the lightning rod and poster boy for all that went wrong. You can decide that it's 'all about the art' or continue to act as if it's about you.
It's your little e-legacy. What are you going to do with it?

give me your feedback on "slammer", by mrease on Dec 27, 2009 2:10:03 GMT 1, Its all pretty sad really that your still going on and on and on seems like you have even got people so bored they are deleting their accounts to get away from it Are you legally accountable for your posts here? (this is the last question i would like you to give an answer to) Its all in the forum rules that you agreed to when joining the forum. More info here - urbanartassociation.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=33047yes, and we have discovered that you do not hold yourself to stand by these same rules . this is , without question, hypocritical and elitist. We also have confirmation that you do not mind ignoring direct questions and will try to misdirect responsibilites away from yourself ,even when this is not possible. there is only one point left upon which i would like clarification before continuing - which is do you hold yourself (ADMIN) legally accountable for your (ADMIN) posts here (Banksy.info) ? n.b. bracketed information is for clarification, hopefully to ensure there can be no misunderstanding .

This gets funnier by the minute
I think your description describes yourself more than anybody on this forum, but I don't mind playing along with your game if you want to embarrass yourself further.
"do you hold yourself (ADMIN) legally accountable for your (ADMIN) posts here (Banksy.info) ?"
oh yes! I will take myself to court if I really step out of line. Trouble is before me, YOU and a whole load of others would be in the queue.
Please continue ;D I'm enjoying this!

As they say What's good for the goose is good for the gander if people seem to think they are above the rules maybe its worth trying a few examples back to see how they like it. It appears they don't surprise surprise! so will this make those people change the way THEY post in the future to set a shining example to me lets wait and see!

If people continue to think they are above the rules its a matter of trying to get them to see why they are needed by showing them examples about People, Artists, Galleries that they like

So, you require your forum members to set an example to you ? seems a little odd wouldnt you say? You hint that you posted the things you did (re: original ยฃ5 SPQR thread) not because you believed what you were saying ,but because you wanted to highlight the repurcussions when members make similar posts about artists/galleries! is that what you are saying?
and i surmise from my previous question that you do accept your legal responsibies as owner (ADMIN) of this forum. Interesting.
