Damien Hirst For the Love of God Print, by morrissey1 on Mar 24, 2008 20:26:10 GMT 1, And no offense to those who love Nick Walker's TMA works, but Hirst (like it or not) is a major artist whose work will likely be collected and adored in some strange way for decades to come....20 years from now, you may be in NYC, you may go to the MOMA, and there is a very good chance that a Hirst will be on display....and people will be discussing his art much the way we dicuss Warhol's art...and not too many of these other artists who have popped up in the current "street" art scene will be in that discussion......that's not to say their art isn't great, it's just say that it isn't going to show up on the modern art radar (but of course, like everyone on here says, buy what you like, buy what you want to look at on your wall....and try not to buy for invest over taste).....

Yeah, ok...didn't mean to make it quite that literal...I actually have very little idea as to what a Rolex might be worth (never really shopped around for one before).....but I do think that in some years from now the "value" of these Hirst prints will likely be on par to what Warhol's are going for today...wristwatches aside, if I had the cash, I would spend it on Hirst, that's all.....(he's still got a lot of tricks up his sleeve, I believe, and this may be one of the best buying opportunities out there today, if you can afford it)....again, all IMO

Yes, you have to have a massive frame. I have the rulebook on how to frame small Damien Hirst prints, and says (p.92, second paragraph):
"When framing the smaller prints, a massive frame is required, otherwise your print will be confiscated by the Hirst Henchmen".
I wouldn't take the chance with a small frame.
