He hadn't been particulally well informed by RM customer service, in fact he didn't really know what he was suppose to do!
However he did inspect the print, and did agree that it was indeed damaged in its tube.
He has emailed this to RM customer service, so hopefully progress will be made soon!
I'll be ringing again early next week.

Just think about the print as a piece of art rather than a commodity that goes up and down in value.
Do you like having it on the wall? yes? great!
But would you rather have ยฃ3000 than it? yes? fair enough, it's probably a little above the going rate, sell it and you've now got ยฃ3k in your back pocket, significantly more that you paid if you got it from source. With that much you can buy a few unsigned banksys now, or some nice originals by other artists.
Or if you decide that you'ld prefer the S&S than the cash then hold on and enjoy the piece.
In my position i'd sell it. I love banksy's work but for the cost of a signed banksy you can get originals for so many other artists. Good luck and enjoy whatever you decide. I always like have something that the artists has spent time thinking about and painting, rather than a print produced by a printer that banksy has then signed in passing. (But that might be because i've been unlucky at pow and only consider banksy's work at secondary prices)
