its happened with a few artists, micallef, beejoir became 'unfashionable' for a while, mantis FOUND print was impossible to get, after one bad print u can get them below cost, and now its happening to david choe

David Choe?, by morrissey1 on Jan 12, 2008 3:27:50 GMT 1, and with the page not loading properly for those of us with Internet Explorer, probably a lot of people went on the site, couldn't find the print and assumed it was long sold out and gone....Outer Edge might want to look into fixing that problem.....if it wasn't for the good advice from some people on this forum I would have never been able to place my order for the print

Eventhough his prints may not be selling for double the original price anymore, Choe has just sold paintings for $55K and $45K. I don't think people spend that kind of dough on a painting because of what they've read on a forum.
Choe's been around for long enough, has enough fans, and sold out his latest NYC show way before this forum even mentioned him. I think it has more to do with the recent image choices which weren't the best imo.

ยฃ50k for a painting you worked on for months is nothing. Milking another ยฃ70k from that ยฃ50k painting without doing so much as scribbling your "signature" 250 times... now that's "forum-induced-hype-sugar-sex-magic"!
