The Morning After -- What Now? , by Matt-lock on Feb 7, 2008 8:17:11 GMT 1, I would say the banksy forum and ebay are not necessarily a true reflection of the real market. As much as we want to think that we are the only ones who purchase these artists, it's simply not the case.

The Morning After -- What Now? , by gbh on Feb 7, 2008 8:23:22 GMT 1, that is a very good point
I mean christ, look at how fast a banksy sells out. Can't be just only punters from around here.

A very good point Matt. This is a rapidly growing market and extends way beyond the cosy confines of this forum, as well as Wallkandy and the Giant site.

The Morning After -- What Now? , by top on Feb 7, 2008 11:23:07 GMT 1, This whole things is frankly ridiculous. Nikers going for over ยฃ300 on the bay just shows how shallow this scene is. Don't try and tell me that everyone has woken up this morning and decided they like Nick Walker all of a sudden. Two completely out of kilter prices for two of his pieces and everyone is going Walker mad. I'm pleased for nick because he is a great guy by all accounts and has been grafting for years. But the last 24 hours have been absurd.
..yep

The Morning After -- What Now? , by spoon04 on Feb 7, 2008 15:24:41 GMT 1, I was lucky enough to buy a London MA print for about ยฃ500 in November. Not had it framed yet, but it's my favourate piece bought in a while.
Now the dielimma is we're expecting our first child in 4ish months and the silly prices been fetched, means I should sell and use the money for something important like a push chair (great!!!)
But not sure I can bring myself to sell something I want to keep and hang. So won't tell the wife what there now fetching....
