With 'Love Birds' Copyright has created his own fantastically bittersweet tribute to the most romantic of days. 'Love Birds' is a three-colour screenprint with the Magpies in metallic inks ;D It will be an edition of 50 priced at only ยฃ75 and will be available very soon (Monday if all goes well)

Looks like this could be a grower, I'm sure the pictures do not represent the colours and metallics mentioned.
Any story with this piece do you know Ant? Realise the Valentines link, not sure why the use of Magpies? Magpies are carrion eaters, long tails suggest paradise (as birds with long tails use them to 'show' to potential partners). Magpies have keen eyes too!
Anyone else like to ponder?

The majority of magpie superstitions however, revolve around the lone magpie. Its presumed unlucky to gaze upon a lone magpie, for magpies are one of the few creatures who mate for life. Therefore a lone magpie has either lost or never found their love. Hence one for sorrow, two for joy etc.
They are however rough creatures, they scavenge and steal from other birds. So depending on your mood or how you look at it, the image can be magpies fighting, or magpies kissing. Just like a weekend with the misses.
