Fixed is the wrong way to describe it, but there are a lot of horses that don't want to win / just need the run. The trick is knowing which are which... or knowing people that know
Definitely not a mugs game though, a friend of mine over in Ireland makes about an extra ยฃ3k per month on them and I know a few others (not as well) who make more than that.

Agree - a mate of mine places large bets for people in return for a share of the winnings. Some of his tales are shocking, sadly he wont tell me when he has an inkling something might win.....
