Leake Street - Tunnel 228 - Kevin Spacey, by romanywg on May 13, 2009 13:31:39 GMT 1, The book I felt was a disappointment.... but free so who's complaining. I thought the photographs in it were dreadful, which is a pity as if you had the time, and a tripod, you could take some amazing pics. The high light for me was Kate Mccgwires hybrid 'creature' made out of pigeon feathers and in a taxidermy show case. Just awesome, I stood there for ages just spellbound.

Leake Street - Tunnel 228 - Kevin Spacey, by welikestatic on May 18, 2009 15:24:12 GMT 1, we had a look round on saturday - the space is amazing and the atmosphere created by the whole occasion is pretty other-worldly. some awesome pieces of conceptual art down there, balancing light and dark as you explore a tiny portion of the labyrinthine tunnel network that lays abandoned beneath the streets of London. a great experience, unsettling, uplifting, and a great way to encounter art and performance away from the usual settings of galleries and theatres.

Leake Street - Tunnel 228 - Kevin Spacey, by Deleted on May 19, 2009 18:02:58 GMT 1, Looks like I have 1 spare place for 17:20 on Thursday, 21st May. Whoever takes it will have to meet me there about 17:00 and will have to come in with me (I'm billy no mates on Thursday), although I assume we will not have to hold hands.
I won't have access to a computer until tomorrow morning, so if anyone PMs me before 18:15 today, they will get it, otherwise it'll be first in my in-box tomorrow morning.
Regards,
Adam.

Leake Street - Tunnel 228 - Kevin Spacey, by TAXED on May 20, 2009 16:38:30 GMT 1, I went yesterday, it was great very eerrie, some great peices in there, loved the fact you didnt know what was round the corner, and the darkness started messing with your eyes, my night vision kept kicking in haha.
did anyone get up stairs? i couldnt find out how to, and i heard someguy ask the women at the bottom of the stairs how do you get up , all she said was you have to find out yourself haha.
i beilive thats where the girl sitting at the table was, as i didnt see that,
love the ball that came down the water near the monkey, then the books knocked over like dominos knocked over barrells then started of the human guinea pig wheel, then that powered the lights to light up jesus, fucking great.
also did anyone have the balls to go into the dark dark pitch black cant see you hands in front of you face corner, it was behing the slinkachu bingo hall, i put my hands in there, i could feel a rusty cage door, but i didnt haver the balls to go it, i was waiting for some fucker to grab me and pull me in haha, my girlfreind was pretty freaked out in there, it was like a art ghost train loved it
like someone on here said the book was good nice size for free, but could have had much better pix,
but yep great day, any one who missed it, book for the next one.

Leake Street - Tunnel 228 - Kevin Spacey, by georgec7 on May 21, 2009 20:22:05 GMT 1, Never experienced anything like that in my life - if you're seeing this weekend you won't be disappointed! Don't really want to give too much away - go round twice - when you first get in, you can't see a thing, but second time around it's like going to a different place because your eyes have become accustomed to the darkness. A few highlights - when you see the killing machine if you want to see Slinkachu's Aldi - it's close by, but you'll have to search for it! Can't say too much, but you'll come across two workers with a trolley on a rail - it's worth waiting 10 minutes to see what happens! I can't remember exactly where, but there's a door with a Fire Exit sign on it which will open towards you -pull it and you'll get upstairs - another highlight for me - there are a couple of other doors up there - knock on them and one of them might open but be prepared (ask Session about that !!) Oh yeah - and the bloke in the ladies toilets... !! Great to meet Doyle and Session - see you in the queue next week!

If you're looking for a similar affair on the silver screen, try Synecdoche, New York. Has a similar ability to really draw you in.
