This assume the seller isnโt desperate! Having said that there are those that talk up the price to protect their investment :-)

Most of the threads were on discussions of art and artists. I was new to this art collecting lark and felt I was learning a lot and indeed I did. And then came Brexit, and people turned on each other goaded by some new voices and the guardians/moderators set back and watched this place go up in flames. Many members, including this one called upon Daniel Silk to do something about it but our calls fell on deaf ears. A lot of long standing members decided that this was no longer a place for rational thought or intelligent debate. Sadly, it wasn't until these very vicious people turned on the founder of this forum himself that he tried to do something but the damage was already done. The empty space is now filled by the Ebay brigade who understandably are only interested in selling their wares and why not here there are no fees or commissions. Almost every single new post is a sales thread by yet another new member. Discussion or debate is out and if anyone tries they are shouted down or accused of having an agenda of driving up prices or down. They refuse to engage in any intelligent debate whether by choice or that they do not have the knowledge of the subject I do not know. I suspect that they are just not interested. I also suspect that Daniel Silk is busy thinking how he can profit from the ever burgeoning sales threads and soon this place will no longer be where collectors gather to discuss art but where flippers come to off load their recently acquired wares. But you know what, the collectors will have moved on, driven out just as Bren, Hammerz and other like them.
