In terms of a Banksy image having to have a deep political and significant meaning...I donยดt agree. This is classic Banksy humour and executed perfectly. Or if youยดre looking for a deeper message...how about the idea itยดs about the police having misplaced priorities and instead of doing basic policing they waste their time on trivial matters such as spending hour after hour completing red tape [or in this case protecting their own interests...symbolised by the doughnut]. Or if you want to go even deeper...what does the doughnut represent? How about the American dream? From the outside itยดs sugar coated and alluring. But somewhat flawed with a massive hole in it and needs to be protected from attack [perhaps foreign]. I like the fact that you can read into the image as much as you want...rather than having the message rammed home.. ... I happened to be walking by the new POW gaff today and they were unloading a van full of print tubes. I couldn't resist asking one of the guys if they had 'a spare Donuts going'.
I recieved a very polite 'No, I'm afraid not'.
Oh well, I'd have regretted not asking!

Quite refreshing!.....Snakes post unhelpful, these (or any subsequent releases) won't be popping up on POW any time soon...
I don't blame the flippers and lay the blame quite squarely at the point of release, these should have been sold at ยฃ1000 sorting the men from the boys. Dont accept the 'art to the masses' argument otherwise we'd all have dead sheep in formaldahide on the wall....

This image by Banksy blatantly references the United States desire (and aim) to be not only in total control of our planet ( the New World order ) but to use this as a stepping stone to place themselves in the position of 'policing' the universe itself ! the US has spent alot of time and energy implanting this idea into the consciousness of our planet through the media and is most obvious when looking at films and television from yesteryear eg Star Wars, Star Trek, Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon etc
The van in the image represents the closed and highly protected secret societies who work towards this New Universe Totalitarian State (ie the illuminarty, Skull and Bones, Bilderburg Group etc ) .. the outriders are representing the human 'slaves' indoctrinated to actually physically apply and enforce this order for these 'societies' ... and the universe (represented by the doughnut) is what these societies hold up and carry forward into the future , driven upon a vehicle under their control and in a direction of their choice!
We 'the people' are of course represented by the hundreds and thousands - note - not millions and billions as the current population stands , but the hundreds and thousands that 'they' wish to reduce the earth population down to, through pre-planned starvation and population control mechanisms, currently being implemented across the globe..
lastly (it may be worth mentioning) the whole universe is being carried forward upon the shoulders of the oil industry .. the petrol driven van .. the bikes.. the rubber tyres etc .. obviously a reference to the money and power and might of these industries and the fact that the ultimate owners of these industries are indeed the main players in the secret societies mentioned (and the ones unnamed in this explanation)
