It was only edition 38 and I'm sure a large percentage of them have had an attempted flip. It says a lot that Jimi rarely comes up for sale. I think the people that read his blog and really like his work got in there first for that one then word got out and everyone knew about Death Blossom. i've been watching this one and so far i've only seen 4 up for sale on ebay (and one of them is the same as on here - #38). and none of them are moving! the A/P #8 was for sale by the printer which was the same as the jimi print - so someone on here said. still a shame to see 4 of them on there. i'll tell you one thing, mine isn't going anywhere...

Considering the price to frame this, anyone that buys it is really going to have to love the picture which limits the market. That and I'm sure there are others like me that refuse to pay a flipper 2-3x the price they paid for a print a week or two prior. I just hope all of these find homes that will eventually end up on a wall and not sitting in a tube for years.

i've got mine and it's stunning. detail is amazing - it almost looks like canvas as you can see the original texture. paper is nice and thick. i don't have a lot of experience with giclee's but i love it and can't wait to see it framed up.
and there haven't been 15 for sale - it looks like there are 4 people all posting it in separate places from what i have seen so far.

No Doubt the broke fools who put theirs on the ebay are playing themselves. If they didn't all flood ebay they could do better down the line. Not to mention that it's a great print.
But I assume if they can't afford to have $600 out for 2 weeks anyways, then I'm sure they can't afford the money to frame it either, which is why I think some broke fools might flip theirs.
It's almost in my price range but would have to keep rolled for a while until I could afford to frame it too.
No luck for me trying to snag one on the release, but my friend got his framed already, so there's another that will never hit ebay. treated himself as an early christmas present.
Easily one of the best prints of 2009, by any artist backed by steve lazarides.
I just can't really think of a print that was better in 09'. Although I liked n.walkers TMA NY but that piece was really from 2008.

Not that it's any reflection on the print, more like a reflection of the flippability of its predecessor imo, but there have been a good 10 offered for sale quite openly including those already sold in Ebay, if not much more once you add the usual discreet offerings by PM. Not complaining, just saying!

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It's certainly going to be a statement piece. Now some of my other pieces are going to have to be moved around so I can hang it somewhere decent.

looks like a horse to me - very small detail in the print - wonder if it was on purpose? also, you can also see the canvas texture.
framed! really happy with the thick white frame. i went glass instead of plexi (perspex) as i didn't want scratching. and the glass really isn't THAT heavy.
