After some comparisons to jasper johns i have to point out another flag from the pop era and had to find an image of it. The Faile flag strikes a modern and as others have noted american indian interpretation of the flag. Take a look at this lichtenstein from the Forms in Space series.
Same number of red stripes. faile flag has a bit more angel. overall though.. enough of a comparison to warrant a look.

the lichtenstein version will probably set you bak $60K US. so i'll stick wiith the faile verson for now.

put your money where your mouth is....I'll take that bet any day of the week....I grew up in Williamsburg and when I go home to visit and I ask anyone in the neighborhood if they know who Faile is they have no clue to who they are or what they do.... If I ask if they know banksy they always say yeah the guy that does the rats....

Admittedly I'm probably leaving people out cause I'm not thinking too hard about it, but Murakami, Kaws, Banksy and distantly Shep (originals only), are among the few urban art stars who have crossed over from popular tastes in the urban market to "NY society collectors," though I realize that's a generalization as there are people like Dash Snow who basically started out as a "NY society collector" darlings, but then subsequently gained urban art status.
Faile looks poised to make the transition as well and seems uniquely situated to make the jump - being that the collective is native to NY and just got new NY representation.
Banksy and Shep, however, seem intent on not becoming solely "institutional" and have made deliberate moves to remain accessible to the people - from Sheps $50 prints and Bansky releasing via lottery and well below market.

Note sure about 'official' or if it's permanent, but my understanding is they've been working together in the studio.
I don't believe any of these +/- movements within the Faile collective have been announced as such; Bast, Aiko etc. The only constant has been the two Patricks.
