Conor Harrington, by RetroCanvas on Mar 7, 2007 0:24:05 GMT 1, Agreed, I love Conor's stuff. I don't see why you think he's behind Micallef though. Micallef's stuff just doesn't do anything for me.
Retro
I personally think that Conor Harrington is deservedly in line to be the next big thing after Antony Micallef, far more so than Dan Baldwin that everyone's been talking about. I bought an original a while back from the StolenSpace gallery and in the flesh his work is even more amazing than images online, one of the best things I've bought. I heard that Damien Hirst bought a few originals from the show he had at a Laz, and although that's not a reason in itself to buy his work, it can't be a bad sign. Hopefully the price of the new print through Laz will be under ยฃ1k, and I'd also keep an eye on StolenSpace for new work of his. IN a time where a lot of things are selling out on the back of hype and just to make a fast buck, I reckon Conor Harrington has staying power for the long term. Anyway, that's my two cents worth..

Conor Harrington, by neutral on Mar 18, 2007 22:53:51 GMT 1, I am glad you like it Silky's Girl and winter. It was part of some work we did originally for our show back in August then exhibited to Apart in Portebello
