I seriously doubt that will happen. Its a great image, and I bet the previous listing has attracted many admirers who had never seen it before.
My bet would be this piece sells for closer to 3k. Who knows though, I could be wrong.

Girl With Teddy is good but IMO Grenade Lovers is better, I know others will prefer Girl With Teddy but I don't see it being worth a premium.

Then, you realize how badly you wanted one. Unfortunately, the only place to get it now is from other people who also wanted one badly, but had the commitment to buy whereas you didn't. ;D
Grenade Lovers is another great canvas, and one that I think will look great on a wall as well. GWT has a very high Wife Acceptance Factor (WAF) which works in its favor (GL might as well, though).
Anyways, do the prices for any of the art works discussed on this forum make sense at all?!

I've been using an auction sniper for years now. Why in the world do people still use traditional bidding? Just inflates prices and gets the excitement up (and that hurts you as a buyer).
Not that this really belongs here, but for anybody who buys on ebay, its much better to figure out what you're willing to pay for an item, set your snipe, and then forget about it. You'll get notification after its all said and done whether you've won or not. This has saved me a ton of money, and it solves any worries about shill bidding and the like.

Actually, I didn't commission my Zooicide. I just managed to get in touch with him before the Ghetto, inquired about the Zooicide image, and he told me that he had a one-off available for sale... and I snapped it up. Basically, I just lucked out 'cos I took the dive before everything blew up.

Yep, it's a fecking huge one and according to Dolk, apparently quite a headache to ship. I'm about 5'7", and the canvas is almost as tall as me. I love it to bits, though!!

It's a fair price IMO his canvases are now selling direct from Dolk @ £1500 so you paid a little extra for one which is sold out, which is to be expected. The seller did all right out of it too although not as well as if he'd excepted £2500 a week or so ago.
