I fully understand your observation, but I just specified what the actual price for Dolk's new canvas work was at the moment.
For 'The last mona' it's a rare early work and have already received offers including one for 20k. I don't fix myself the pricing , the market does.

Yes, this one is special and hard to come by, but you can get his big originals at that price and I would rather have that. If you manage to sell it for 20k than please send the runner up my way. I would sell mine at that price, and use the money to buy a big original

I know Dolk canvases from kenneth in gallerie se (bergen) go for ยฃ7500 for editions of 6 unless its 1/1 which are then higher. i do wish you luck with the sale though. is a classic matey and I'm sure older one will go for more.

I've dealt a lot with his pieces for my private collection, and I've never heard of anything going that high. Some of his most iconic pieces I know has been trading in the secondary market at around 10k. |

I'm surprised anyone who get that kind of offer tries to see if he can get any better and don't just take it and run, run, run. It's a common tactic to tell people that they already have a better offer, but no one ever proves it.
On the flip side, this is a sold out canvas so comparing it to unsold items from the source is not necessarily correct. If the 20k offer still stand, take it while it's hot.
And Kultur, if I got offered 20k for my canvas I would sell it in a instant, go to Dolk and buy myself a new canvas and used the rest of the money to fill my bathtube (my imaginary bathtube) and take a swim like Scrooge McDuck.
