Lady Aiko 🇯🇵 Aiko Nakagawa • New York Street Art, by edcase on Sept 15, 2008 9:59:27 GMT 1, Unfortunately I couldn't make the opening night party so I can't comment on that, but I went over to Bed Stuy the night before for the preview, and spent a fantastic couple of hours with Rae and Hope and was totally blown away by their fantastic attitude, so it's a slight shame to see people being so critical of a free party/exhibition especially given the quality of the people involved.

I guess you can't please all the people all of the time. They may have only been six pieces there, but the amount of work which had gone into each of them for a single person was clearly very significant, and they were each very different. I agree it might have been nice to have had some other smaller / more affordable works but at the same time I think it would also have minimised the impact of what was there and with this being probably the last time you'll see many of those stencils I don't think that's what Aiko was wanting to do.
