Ive seen the pics on his website but does anyone have any pics of canvasses they have recieved from him? I'd love to see them!

My two year old daughter wanted a pink one. Eventually after a long discussion 'I want Pink, no I think Red has a greater element of artistic presence and longevity to it' we held a secret ballot but I then had to post a casting vote.
I am now told that my red shat at will be with me in the next two weeks.

one that just sold on eBay recently (in blue) was signed and numbered on the wooden canvas stretcher bar across the back and he painted "eElus" on the bottom. but, mine has the number painted on one side of the canvas, his "e" with crossbones on the other side and his signature on the stretcher bar.

The demand in itself creates a demand all its own. Good for eelus for creating something so desirable. I know I cant wait for my green wutyoulookinat canvas.

Well I don't think his sentiments are completely unjustified. Effectively speaking, the guy who sold his canvas on eBay basically used eelus to make a quick buck (many quick bucks actually)... so I can empathize, since it's never a good feeling if someone is taking advantage of you. Furthermore, the fact that the guy listed it on eBay not even 24 hours after receiving it sends a message that the seller wasn't really into the art, which from the perspective of an artist, is a big huge slap in the face. The guy could have perhaps bugged eelus to finish the canvas, and eelus may have gone to a lot of trouble to get it out ASAP... only to find out that the impatience wasn't geared at the receipt of the canvas, but the profit it bears.
I think eelus has shown himself to be very caring about his fans, posting regularly on here and in the eelus forum. To those people whose Shat-At and Chewbarber orders didn't go through, he offered the WotuLookingAt prints instead... which wasn't an intended print in the first place, but one that he kindly obliged due to fan demand. He makes the effort to make sure that his art goes to those who love them. My point is, given his dedication to his fans, witnessing the eBay listing is quite akin to that guy taking a piss on eelus' head.
On the other hand, if his work wasn't so popular and highly sought-after, this wouldn't have happened. So yeah, it is an indication of his rising star, however offensive it may be. It's a double-edged sword... and I certainly don't blame him for feeling both of those edges. I think the important thing to note is that if he wasn't so dedicated to his fans, he probably won't be feeling this way. At least, that's my interpretation of it

On the plus side ( if there is one ) of the bloke selling his on e-bay, whilst I dont approve it's one out of a hundred. If you look at the numbers of Micaleffs JD and Banksys Flags on e-bay at the moment, that's where people are really taking the p**s. They obviously didn't read the POW news item about polunium poisioning!

I empathise with how Eelus must feel... I really got a sense of that fact E was commissioning me a unique piece of art, we discussed doing it with a Camo background and all sorts until I finally settled on a Olive Green/Kharki one. I know it will look amazing... but the fact that I had a tiny amount of input into it's creation makes it all the more special... I will never sell it!!
