I am saying if you can get one for 500 quid today you are very lucky or full of shit

D*Face Pop Tart Print, by bmjt on Mar 15, 2009 15:13:44 GMT 1, It's over a grand because that is what people are willing to pay. - 110361703150 - 230328932094 - 330311173048 It's what people THINK they have to pay. If everyone just sat and waited. its a declining market, that in my opinion hasn't even started yet. What's the rush?
It's called supply and demand, people want one now and are willing to pay more than someone else for it, to the price of £1200 etc. You can't ask a market to charge/pay less, it's a self monitoring process.

D*Face Pop Tart Print, by gbh on Mar 15, 2009 15:22:43 GMT 1, my opinion has not changed in the slightest, I don't recall saying that we have hit the floor of the market?
if I was that good, I think I'd be spending more time on my share portfolio rather than poncing around art forums
so on the flipside, do you feel the market will ever recover or is it all down from here/we are at the highest point in a permanent slide right now?

People THINK they have to pay up to £1,200 minus fee's if we're talking ebay. I don't know why people get caught up in a dog fight for a print thats a 750 run. Its gone from £2,500 down to £1,200 on ebay alone. Just wait for the 1st Trolleys to go below a grand.

No, your opinion has changed. I said was/am paying less for Banksy/DFACE etc while the markets declining - You tried to talk it up/mock that fact.
Will the market recover? Yeah, the question is how many on here will be able to wait that long with increasing outgoings?
Nobody know's where the bottom is, its for you to decide when to go in - @ present anyone who's a wannabe money maker/black card applicant who has a collection is TRYING to inflate with insurance policy's of a minimum profit/loss sell out.
If you need to sell, sell - but don't look @ the buyer as getting something for nothing!

Because they want it, and are willing to pay that much, whilst being forced to do so by the number of other people willing to pay the same amount. Buyers won't let it go cheaper than that yet, because the demand is there at that figure.
They now realise that £2,500 is too much and are no longer willing to pay that. It may well come down further in the future, but at the current point in time that is price threshold and you can't force it down by posting on here, trying to jump the gun. You just have to wait.
Oh yeah, as per Graeme, any chance of these elusive photos?

People will soon realize that over a grand is too much. The last few auctions have been bumped up - so £1,200 isn't a true reflection of how much a Trolleys will sell for.
