In London, if you ask anyone on the street the question - name a street artist? they will name banksy hands down. This is true, but people who i work with who have no idea about street art are now talking about this guy called D*FACE and you occasionally see a faile pop up from time to time in celebrity homes.
I am guessing alot of people would ask if hush was a brand of shoes or something.
Artists like hush, beejoir etc etc etc mean nothing at the moment as they are purely just for us to enjoy. I suppose what im getting at is that its highly unlikely hush will get bigger than DFace (not within the next 5 years anyway) and by then this street art fetish the world has got will probably be seen as a fad. With the occasional banksy original going for more and more as he gets up there with the warhols etc.
