But, I did say that I liked Eine's Andy Warhol prints so I am not dismissing him totally. And as far as that charlatan, rip off merchant Hirst goes, I will never ever stop having a go at him unless he does something original and becomes what he is supposed to be, an artist. Totally agree, it’s brilliant when a print or canvas can take you back to when you saw it first as a street piece. I got dotmasters load of rubbish after seeing it at cans now every time I look at it it makes me smile.

Although I have only seen pictures of Eine's letters on shutters, I am sure they looked good and original when he first done them many years ago. And as far as he helped Banksy and worked as a screenprinter at POW, you would have hoped that some of that talent would have rubbed off on him, obviously it hasn't. Check out the boring alphabets, the care bears and the other crap he did with the pictures of kids. It is like he only gets inspiration when he goes to a nursery. I am sure that most of the people who have attacked me (yawn) have pieces by Eine, that's your choice. But I repeat that the rehash of the alphabet in different fonts lacks imagination, skill and artistic merit. So f u c k you!

Visually I think his work is often appealing, especially when you make the connection with his streetwork. But think some criticism might be stemming from (imo) the lack of concept in his work - he just doesn't seem to be taking it to the next level imo. His work reminds me of Tauba Auerbach who really has taken it to another level. He makes type canvases similar to Eine - but also has done many different things, such as this piece which is nuts. www.sfmoma.org/artwork/125794 - Maybe Eine will differentiate himself somehow oneday, maybe he doesn't need to. It is what it is and has its appeal none the less.

I'll never dispute Eine's technical skills, his work is superbly crafted, but the Alphabet idea has been played out to many times, Eine needs to progress to the next level in my opinion.

Last in first out? I think W was the last letter added to the english language and isn't unique like other letters as it's a combination of two other letters. Pronounced double 'U' it's the combination of two Vs which evolved from the letter U. But I don't know if that's why Eine ignores it.
