I had a six with about 370bhp for 4 years, as my daily driver. My power steering pump went that was the only problem i had in about 35,000miles if you can get over the fact that they need servicing every week and you will be lucky to see more than 16mpg on a motorway they are awesome, bar the fact that everything on the road is going way to slow for you. Id have one again if i had the cash but priorities change now im a diesel man who hates my car, at least till things get them selves back on track.
Daz do you have a 205 by any chance? I had one of them before the evo, awesome car.

Love the Scooby and the Porsche 4x4, never seen a beast like that before!!
My everyday drive is a Scooby STi and has been for past 3 cars / 8 years, not as raw as the Evo but much easier to live with and drive distances (Also a lot cheaper to run!!)
I have no real life outside of Art n Cars!!!!

i've had my Evo 8 MR for a bit over 3.5 years. only issue i've had was the cd player on the factory stereo went out on me. could have covered it under warranty, but i wanted to get a different stereo anyway, so i just bought one.
i test drove an Sti before getting the Evo and at least for the US models, the Sti was much less comfortable to drive. suspension seemed overly stiff/harsh. people who have ridden in my Evo are always surprised by how smooth the ride is.
i'd have to say that Evo has been much cheaper to maintain than my S4. guess we'll see if that continues to be the case over the next few years...
