will anyone rent me their car?, by Deleted on Feb 6, 2009 23:48:11 GMT 1, how can u afford to live next to richard hammond and chris moyles, and not buy a decent car yourself? the houses cant be cheap? and how can fatherxmas afford to put his name down for a db9, but lives with his parents, and then when it comes to putting a deposit down for a flat, has to try and shift ยฃ300 prints in order to afford it? maybe its all true, but are some people telling little forum lies?

I've done something wrong at 24 was driving around in a battered mini and living in the worst area of Newcastle! Where I got robbed twice a week for a year. (which was lucky as I had nothing to steal at the time)
Anyway thanks again Wiz! Been looking at your new art very jealous/forget the cars you have great taste in art/furniture etc, better taste than cars!!! hehe imo!

not at all, i afford the work though a combination of student loans, a loan from my family, and having some kind of job since i was 12, and a proper part time job when i was 16, saving my money, it all adds up
also, living in scotland as a student is cheap, there is no fee's to pay, and we get paid burserys, my comments to fatherxmas and richy were meant to be tongue in cheek
and im pretty sure i dont have anywhere near the most expensive/interesting art on the forum, i have been very lucky that most of what i buy has been picked up from source, and usually things i really want but cant afford are obtained through swaps
also, we were talking houses and db9's, not piddly little art collections

a golf is very decent, i wish i had a car, just not in the same league as what u were asking for

Deposit on an aston is 5K
When the boom was around, people were paying premiums for very high exclusive motors. for instance when the phantom coupe convertible come out early 2008 it was catching 100k premiums and going for close to ยฃ400k now you can pick them up for just a little under cost.
Same with astons, Aston martin @ the moment are offering discoutns of upto 15% of stock they have available there and then and reports of 10% on ordered cars.
Also, You dont get many 21 yr olds buying Brand new Audi TT'S do you? Im so glad after the dface show in october when i came back it was still outside BRP in one peice

We had some drama recently we local lads and stolen motorbikes,riding them through narrow alleyways and nearly knocking my lad over. The police arrived and i shit you not, they sent the Milky Bar kid...well if it wasnt him then it was his twin

I was playing about with the smaller version of the q7 the other week when my car was in for its first service Q5..Very nice car.

I had a look at the Q7, too cumbersome, and it's an Audi. You've made a better choice with the VW, wouldn't have been my personal choice but much better than the Audi
