Not my cup of tea either, but doesn't mean it's horrible. People like what they like... nothing worse than music snobbery.
Now I'm off to cleanse myself with some Richie Hawtin...

Many of the artists you've listed above I am a fan of, but I also like trance, not as much as I used to when I was younger, but it's harmless fun, upliftifting, and at times emotional. Hard-lined techno, DnB and prog electro can be really monotonous and just quite dull to listen to, if done badly. Trent and High Contrast pull off their respective genres, but some essential mixes i've heard have really put me to sleep...

Anyone a Paul Van Dyk fan?, by cadeallaw on Mar 3, 2009 21:15:07 GMT 1, Wow... extra heady points for me for getting called a "snob" on the banksy forum of all places.... and to think it would be for something so simple as calling Tiesto rubbish (really?... i mean... seriously?). i'm baffled by the fact that ANY fan of electronic music would admit to liking Tiesto. Christ... his sets sound dated even upon initial release... it's like he is the Thomas Kinkade of the DJ world.
As far as the mixes/sets i posted- Check out the Lindstrom & Prins Thomas essential mix and the Booka Shade set... Fire!
