Have just got tickets to Arcade Fire, Bright Eyes and the gig in Hammersmith by the Good the Bad the Queen. They are amazing live, so much better than the record. Saw the Monkeys in Bristol last year. Amazing, though I ay to sure about their ep. Anyway lb gotta get back to my Brian Adams collection. ha!

(radio 2 is a middle of the road bbc radio station playing music from any era). last time i saw supergrass, down my way, they weren't all that, did way too many new songs together - needed to mix it up more. the classics still sound superb though and there's plenty of them.
the coral are the band for me on that line up, saw them support oasis at the millenium stadium and they ripped it up. can't wait to see them.

i'd certainly not bother with the LCC gig - way too big
I didn't bother seeing them at reading for the same reason...especially as I'd seen them at reading the year before in the new bands tent

the genius with old trafford is A - it's up north and B - it's gonna be their crowd. no idiots going "oh, these lot better be good", we all no they are so we'll just enjoy it. i think it's a bit naive to suggest the arctics can't deliver to a big crowd.
you will kick yourself if you miss this or them at glastonbury because their gonna be the events of the year for sure.

thing is I've been spoilt - saw them in June 2005 at the Croft in Bristol infront of 120 people...then 4 more times in small venues (oxford zodiac / reading new bands tent / bristol bierkeller / bristol academy)....I can't be arsed with big crowds which is why I only saw 3 bands on the main stage at Reading last year.

saw little flames for the 5th time last nite at The Louisiana...Eva is gorgeous
nice to see a band taking it steady rather then exploding on the scene...I think first I saw them way back in Jan05 supporting Nine Black Alps...only complaint I had is that they've dropped "Goodbye Little Rose" from their set.
Album out in June I think...single out Monday

Ha, I was at the louisiana last night too! I was near the front in a stripy jumper - had a very tall friend with me. Thought they were good. Saw them on the nine black alps tour but up in york and thought they were good then too.
