"Right, the good news first: a new report says the Apple tablet will now come in two flavours, LCD and gorgeous OLED. The bad news: that means the Apple tablet will likely be delayed until the back end of 2010 as Apple tries to bring costs down.
Word from the DigiTimes in Taiwan โ which was bang on in its early reports of a Nokia netbook โ is that the Apple tablet will now come in a 10.6-inch LCD version (Costing ยฃ480-600) and a 9.7-inch OLED number, with the panel produced by LG.
Itโs that panel that will reportedly delay the initial March 2010 plan for the Apple tablet until H2 2010 โ even with the delay taken into account, sources claim that street cost for it will still be $2,000 (ยฃ1,200) โ quite a sum to pay for something that might only run iPhone OS."

Can't see it replacing the key board. Typing will never be as quick. Nice idea though.

I really can't see the appeal of the stuff in general, and this ipad looks a massive white elephant. So it does everything an iphone can do (except make phone calls) and is 20 times the size and 4 times the cost.
I've only read the guardian blog thing but i can't see any feature that would make anyone want to buy it (except the apple logo).

Yep, I don't doubt it.
I suppose if it runs slingplayer it could be a handy thing to have in the bedroom or kitchen to watch the telly on :/ Or to put in the car as a big satnav/movie player for the nippers??
I wonder if it can be jailbroken?
