My New Brodie + any other street photographers?, by curiousgeorge on Jan 3, 2008 12:42:16 GMT 1, Not the same subject matter as per post, slowly I'm building confidence to go out taking 'candid' pictures. In the mean time my passion is hugging the coast with a camera, as my eye develops so will my subjects (see what i just did)
Here is my first ever edition, in a shop at present (edition of 34 and 6 sold already), none to friends or family yet!!
Pardon the decor, waiting for a spread to do the ceiling before the walls can be completed!

technically it's this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_arm_(people)
Alternatively (and probably the way he means it here) get some to hit you in the arm very hard. If it goes a bit numb afterwards, you've got yourself a dead arm. Somtimes get them after injections too.

My New Brodie + any other street photographers?, by jamesreeve5 on Jan 3, 2008 19:51:32 GMT 1, mike brodie is a legend - really honest and more than a little crazy and very funny. He has to be persuaded to exhibit at all and just likes taking photos and in my opinion captures something really amazing. and he gave me a dead arm once
Mike, you are exactly right

My New Brodie + any other street photographers?, by jamesreeve5 on Jan 11, 2008 0:25:37 GMT 1, couldn't help myself in taking the plunge again... here is my second Brodie photograph I recently purchased (I own the original piece Monica is holding up in the picture)
I am in the process of getting all three framed so that the original will hang next to the two photographs which will be positioned on top of one another.
I'll post pics once I get that done...

My New Brodie + any other street photographers?, by matbat on Jan 11, 2008 3:09:03 GMT 1, mike brodie shoots all his polaroid biz on an sx70 sonar land camera. You can still buy film for these cameras and its called sx70 blend. Its not quite as good and costs about a ยฃ1.00 a shot.
Im not too sure on how you blow up polaroids for printing as there is no neg involved so if anyone can help me i will be very happy.

Maybe scan it in and then blow it up. If polaroids are your thing then you might want to check out www.polanoid.net/
Blend is just different, not necessarily worse, depends what sort of look you're going for. Some expired sx70 original film came up on ebay last week - ended up at ยฃ62 for 40 shots.
