I have no idea either way if it's Banksy or not, but one could look at it as a curtain call to a show full of old images with just one week remaining. There are many similarities between Banksy and Zorro, so why not? If it turns out to be his, I wouldn't be surprised to see a few more Banksy's making their appearance on the streets this week as I presume there will be a fair amount of press regarding final totals from his show. Why not add a bit of momentum with some fesh paint on the streets?

I suppose if its not Banksy then its a bit pointless (rehashing someone else's idea on such a large scale). I'm no expert but it looks very well crafted, and clever choice of location, so why not?

Hadn't realised there was a second tower, with pink paint on it.
More i look at it, more I think it's Banksy, esp considering quality of execution, general feel of it, and the pow open day image too.

Two in the car saw it loud and clear (before me but I was driving) heading into town so no problem with looking across lanes of traffic. It looked great in the sunlight and I have no doubts about the quality or execution - even from a brief look. Even got to me to slow down to under the speed limit.....

someone's put a lot of thought into this either way. the rollers been changed so it doesn't end up in the window (cos that might mash it up a bit... maybe) and the use of the pre-existing circle behind to give the moon effect. looks like the location was chosen and the image based around it so maybe (if it is indeed by banksy) the most suitable image was this old one. Those are my thoughts anyway!
Has Banksy ever used this image on the street before?
EDIT: and the cape has been shortened to fit the wall.

Would like to see a more detailed photo of the man on the horse as it doesn't look as well painted as the horse. Also, any idea behind the relevance of the horse rider painting "Live Fast, Drive Slow"?
