I dont really understand as Bomb Hugger and Flying Copper seem to always pass at auction. I dont know if anybody had seen the condition report for these pieces but maybe they were damaged ?

I wasn't particularly surprised in the results - the estimates were creative I thought.
... And ยฃ8k estimate on that Walker - emperors new clothes!

Dreweatts Art Auctions ๐ฌ๐ง, by Prescription Art on Oct 10, 2011 20:23:43 GMT 1, I'm a bit surprised... I went to check out the work at the Cumberland hotel - it looked great in that setting & there were lots of hotel guests wandering round with bid sheets... I figured some of them would be spending hard!

Dreweatts Art Auctions ๐ฌ๐ง, by drevil on Oct 10, 2011 20:56:19 GMT 1, Interesting results. Most lots failed to sell or sold below estimate. It will be interesting to see if this represents the beginning of a slow down in this scene or even a reversal in prices.
I take this as a decent short-term slowdown signal personally. But to each his or her own.

Dreweatts Art Auctions ๐ฌ๐ง, by Shoot Again on Oct 10, 2011 21:02:00 GMT 1, My impression was that some pieces just didn't gather any interest (those Banksys were definitely not my favourites...) but the artworks I like never really felt short of interests/bids... I wish I could just always be the only bid when I'm after something, would be so much easier and cheaper ;-)

Dreweatts Art Auctions ๐ฌ๐ง, by sport1 on Oct 10, 2011 21:02:29 GMT 1, I'm not sure you can read to much into these results as a previous post says Dreweatts is always a strange one with not a fantastic reputation. You may see a slowdown in price but that surely would be a healthy thing I personally think the run up in prices as of late has probably to sharp to sustain.
Sotheby's later in the week have some great Banksy pieces think that will show if a slowdown is to come.

I'm not in the Market at the moment, but there were some nice older prints there, surprised they didn't do better. I've always quite fancied a Formica Flag

Sure you can. Just mail them with you bid. Auctioneer's fees (on the top of your bid) will stay the same though. Bear in mind that if it didn't sell it's probably because the reserve price hasn't been reached so no point making ridiculously low bid, but no harm trying ;-) Never worked for me when I tried in the past but always room for a nego/bargain... good luck ;-)

I am surprised how Herakut is always either unsold or selling for a fraction of their prices.... Someone scored a great Titifreak for very little money, good for you, whoever you are And Stik's single mum didn't sell....
