Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by Happy Shopper on Sept 16, 2008 0:00:40 GMT 1, I don't like seeing prints in the same auction as originals. Feels wrong to me.
Would love one of the Jamie Reid canvases. Although what Jamie Reid's work is doing on a canvas I don't know!? The Eelus is nice, although maybe to pricey? Nick Walker... no. Don't get it. Conor Harrington. Lovely. Seems like good prices for beautiful work.

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by jakek on Sept 16, 2008 11:11:57 GMT 1, Am considering selling an unsigned banksy golf sale to help buy the Word To Mother canvas. On top of the price I would have to add a commission rate and VAT, is that right?
that was one of the pieces i had my eye on too...

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by graeme501 on Sept 16, 2008 12:00:25 GMT 1, i think they must be setting it low, so when it goes for Β£4000, that it will kick start micallef's 'auction career' which is a bit daft

I think that's a bit steep, Bloomsbury Auctions have one coming up on thurs which I might try to go for, there's is Β£2,000-3,000 Β£2k is a big difference!!!!!

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by onemandown72 on Sept 16, 2008 13:57:14 GMT 1, It's clearly an improvement on the last auction, with less lots, and a higher calibre of work from the artist's involved. Estimates are still strange, some too high and some too low (but these have been agreed with sellers as well). All of which to me shows that Dreweatts have learnt from their last experience and are striving to improve. This can only be a good thing, as is the fact that there is far less work submitted by artists (a decrease in budding Damien Hirsts of the street art world). I'm not selling or buying at the auction, but welcome the improvements and hope that come Jan / Feb next year they are better still.

Impressive simon08, impressive.
I saw alot of people looking very closely at those, the details and layers are there to see.
