Bonhams London and New York will deliver and with every peak there is a trough. Its not all doom and gloom, just a less than average day for some people.

no offence, but prices have been poor for a good while now, and everyone keeps on using excuses like the credit crunch, and stuff like that
things went a bit mad a year ago, things were bought at vastly inflated prices, and now people are realising that what they bought with a view for investment aint going to sky rocket they way they were hoping
how many forum members are at this auction and bidding? buying in these pieces? everyone has created so much hype about everything amongst ourselves, but the market for this stuff aint as big as everyone thinks

Dreweatts Art Auctions π¬π§, by snausages on Oct 14, 2008 19:25:40 GMT 1, where are the results for the auctions in between, did the Ian Francis not sell? Ian Francis (British, b. 1979) A girl catches a train twice in London, 2006 - Β£2,400 Not bad, at about Β£2.4 or a bit over 4k usd I might even consider splurging on an IF, but would probably still pass.
$8800 for the Butterfly Girl is a pretty fair deal too.
Wouldn't mind having WCIP for Β£800-1200. I bet those Micallefs don't get bought in with those estimates.
And the Gemeos is hot but even the low estimate is going to be more than current retail is for that size. Pretty ambitious. Edit: 24k GBP came in at a hair over retail. Not bad and a good example of their work.
And I hope that internet bidder on the Parla wasn't timjohn again! Sorry had to ;D
And why all the buy ins? Banksy say sumpin?
