What i dont get is why on that piece of furniture?, i do like paintings and painted furniture ie Campana / Gio Ponti and JM etc but they seem to think more about the actual piece it goes on, this of yours seems to deserve a better piece than a 19th. c. dressing table mirror?.

They incorporated items such as scraps of wallpaper and fabric, barb wire and cutlery.
I've got a cutlery drawer on my bathroom wall that I use as shelving as well as an orange crate turned on it's side for the same purpose.
And yes Coach you're quite right if you see it in person some of the paint does look like oils due to my new technique allowing it to be smeared and I built up the inital base coats to give more texture.
I found the piece Wizbong whilst painting a wall one day last year. It was discarded in the bushes near the wall and I was taken with it as I didn't expect to find something like it there, and thought I'd save it from being burnt by the local drinking crews who frequent the area. Now I'm not a antiques expert apart from the knowledge that seeps in whilst Dickinson's Real Deal is on in the background so I know Clarice Cliff from Troika but I thought the frame attactive and suited the piece I intended to paint as I didn't want an over decorative ornate frame to distract from the painting.
In future I'll probably have a dig around some clearance sales or bric a brac shops to find some more bits to paint on.
I've had a buyer for it before I posted it on here, I'm just waiting for it to pass the wife approval procedure so from past experience it'll probably get rejected but touch polished wood it won't this time.
And urban umbrella art? Is that like Banksy's NOLA;? Funnily enough I was once asked to paint an umbrella for an exhibiton of umbrella's painted by urban artist. Seeing as I'm not an urban artist I politely declined the offer.

And yes zzz they have been shipped. the international ones are probably delayed due to the time of year and the UK has been experiencing a lot of snow disruption this month closing roads and airports and causing mail backlogs.
I'm sure they'll all turn up but you may have to wait longer than usual for them to arrive.

I hope 2011 is finding you well. I've been experimenting over the festive period and have come up with this special piece. It's entitled In Bloom Between Amber And Auric and is painted on a found art deco cabinet door with the piece painted on a thick cut glass pane featuring a simple art deco geometric frond pattern.
It measures 23"x18" (around 56cm x 45cm) and is painted entirely in spray paint. I used a new and unique technique for this piece where the background is painted on the reverse of the glass pane layering up the background backwards in tones and the portrait is painted on the front giving a subtle layering effect where the girl floats over a metallic golden backdrop.
Further details are scratched into the paint showing through elements of the background and giving a great texture to the work.
