The London Police ๐ฌ๐ง TLP โข Street Artists , by bullet on Jan 29, 2008 16:36:20 GMT 1, ***UPDATE***UPDATE***UPDATE***UPDATE***
hehe
The nice northern lady on the end of the phone at EDF said it was strange that my usage had gone up 4 times what it normally is so there must be a mistake (Well Duh).
They worked out that some of the usage may have been over estimated (Well Duh) on previous statements and the previous people that owned the property had been under-estimated. I don't know what that means for me but all i know is the bill will be alot less than ยฃ841.82. It may not be much less, in which case the canvas will still be for sale but i will let those of you who are interested know.
If there is one lesson in Life - Always question your utility bills as they are always wrong. Its a gamble though as sometimes they may charge you more...but i dont think you can go wrong if your bill is near ยฃ1k.
How can they estimate stuff, its like going into Sainsburys and finding the ยฃ10.99 steak actually only costs ยฃ1 at the till as they over estimated. 'oops, yes sorry sir, we did not realise it was only ยฃ1' I love it when that happens, but how do they get away with it...

The London Police ๐ฌ๐ง TLP โข Street Artists , by bullet on Jan 29, 2008 16:48:25 GMT 1, oh yeah, sorry got sidetracked...
Gardening tips... Prenting WEEDs
Stopping weed from coming up in the first place will save you a lot of work (or in this case getting no work done).
Paths and paving If you donโt mind using weed, then path weed will prevent weed coming up between the cracks and through gravel for several weeks at a time. Otherwise fill the cracks with cement, or hand weed using an old kitchen fork.
Weed-proof membranes Lay below a mulch such as gravel or bark. The best type is woven polypropylene as this lets water through. To plant, just cut the fabric.
Using weed To save time and hard work, weed is the answer for anyone who doesnโt mind using chemicals.
* Read the manufacturerโs instructions to be sure you are using the right weedfor the job. * Keep weed off plants that you want to keep. * Dissolve/dilute the weed according to instructions on the packaging and apply weed using a fine rose (sprinkler head) on a watering can which you only use for weed. * Donโt apply on a windy day because weed can drift onto other plants. * The most effective time to apply weed is when weeds are leafy and growing actively, mid-spring to early summer is ideal. * Keep weed in a safe place, out of reach from children and pets. When empty, dispose of them carefully. Not all weeds will die so repeat applications may be needed.

If you also use direct debit not only do you get a discount, but you can choose if you want to raise or lower your monthly payments!

I love jet lag as it usually means that I have just arrived somewhere very special or have just returned from somewhere very special..
Africa soon but that only has a two hour time difference so no jet lag, just a hangover!
Ozzy yet again later in the year so bring on that bit of jet lag!

The London Police ๐ฌ๐ง TLP โข Street Artists , by bullet on Feb 3, 2008 13:25:04 GMT 1, Yeah its had a massive amount of interest already, infact the reserve was met within 1 hour of the auction starting and it had not even gone live yet.
The reserve was ยฃ450. So im going to take off the ยฃ150 line from the title of this thread as its misleading.
It will be interesting to see how it does, there is 6 days left on it as well and the watchers stats are silly since its only been on for around 10 hours

In my mind, when you have something commissioned that normally involves some input from the client. IF ever a piece of Art would have a personal meaning to the owner, it would be with a commisson IMO
If memory serves you made a lot of noise about this arriving??rightly so, I'm fond of the styles of TLP stuff
Begs the question, just why did you buy it? since you stated above "Its not like a load of these were released and i grabbed one to sell"

Rare/ hard to get = good profit
For me i like TLP stuff, i like the fact they are 'street' have a 'happy' feeling about them, they take me back to my days of messing around with sketch pads and characters etc. It's a bonus that they are family friendly too.

As one has not sold before it will be interesting to see how it does, wonder if this was the same when the first banksy canvas went up on ebay?
Funny how this thing we pay and call ebay sets the standards for art prices, makes you wonder if the market would be as it was today without ebay. Most artists probably would not be so famous put it that way!
