it gets more interesting by the minute.
check out the history - and the buyers.
....it's all mine today and....it's getting warmer.... do these sound like normal usernames to anyone ? with a few purchases (and no feedback) - something slack going on there. i could be wrong of course - but it takes only min with ebay to put you off an otherwise goodlooking auction.
dumps - i think i might owe you pint.

Bloomsbury Auctions ๐ฌ๐ง, by stuey09 on Mar 20, 2008 11:41:29 GMT 1, Although I love Micallef's art, I always believed NOUM was one of his weakest pieces of work. Wow.. can't agree with you there Stuey, its'one of my favourites. Different strokes and all that...
Fair enough mate. I was just a bit underwhelmed by it when compared with MWIH and HFUNG. I thought it lacked detail. However, totally agree about Different strokes etc. Thats what keeps it fresh.

Bloomsbury Auctions ๐ฌ๐ง, by dumpsuk on Mar 20, 2008 14:57:34 GMT 1, Just to clear up the confusion on the commission... buyers premium was 20% . I guess the 22.5% was for ebay buyers. VAT is chargeable but only on the buyer premium. Artists resale is 4% on hammer price, but only if lot went in excess for 1k euros.
SO a ยฃ750 print will acutally cost - ยฃ926.25. (ยฃ150 premium + VAT, No artist resale fee).
Pez how do you know HAND was damaged, were you there?

Bloomsbury Auctions ๐ฌ๐ง, by pezlow on Mar 20, 2008 15:34:10 GMT 1, "some rubbing with associated paper loss in the upper right of the image, a short scrape in the pale green band".
Doesn't sound too bad but they described the grannies as having "a few soft handling creases in upper margin". Now I have seen that print in the flesh and it is riddled with creases.

Bloomsbury Auctions ๐ฌ๐ง, by Prescription Art on Mar 20, 2008 18:30:23 GMT 1, i went yesterday.... was told the banksys would be on at 3:30, arrived at 2:45 & they were half way through them. So missed Turf War :-(
Welcome to Hell was a bargain. As were the Micallefs.
The Pulp Fiction said signed in the catalogue but was unsigned.
I couldn't see any damage on the front of HAND, but it said it had some marks in the book.
I thought I was going to win the Hewlett Kid but got outbid at the last moment :-(
A certain Diamond Dealer bought quite a lot.

Bloomsbury Auctions ๐ฌ๐ง, by dotdot on Jun 24, 2007 15:39:03 GMT 1, i saw this too - it popped up on ebay.com rather than ebay.co.uk.
watched a warhol bug (lemon) go for less than estimate (still it went for 10.5k).
Worth watching in a few days... still there's not much way you can check prov from the descriptions they give - if anyone decides to check this out seriously let us know how you get on with 'asking questions' - a crucial feature of ebay
cheers
