You're right, but the point that was made and it thankfully received some righteous acknowledgement, was that all this talk of money has become overwhelming when most people who post are more intersted on the artwork.

Fair enough. It is an important topic to alot of people.
But it's all been said! There is nothing left to say. Prints values are either going to go up or down. What's the point in speculating? It's boring!

It reminds me of the small band that hits it big and all of a sudden the success, fame, tension and greed tears the band apart. Not a perfect analogy but similar - will the same thing happen here? Will excess cost and fame "cost" Banksy his core audience? If you already have a nice Banksy collection that's great but to the outsiders who have to consider whether it's worth sacrificing so much to join the banksy print club it's a big issue.

Making him millions of ยฃ's in profit, but actually screwing all the artist's who he supposedly loved and wanted to nurture. Now of course Hirst is a huge name and it's not affected him, but what about all the other artist's who wern't as fortunate, who's careers have been virtually destroyed because so many of their pictures were sold off - no longer wanted by the great art collector Saatchi.

It's certainly a 'safe' place to buy - though we could debate how safe any auction house 'really' is
In terms of the prints for sale I've seen some of them (as I said some are part of a friend's collection)
& the condition is excellent...he's a top notch kid gloves collector...those prints haven't even been
breathed on harshly since they've been in his possession
