Some of the estimates were definitely all over the place, but shocked to see CND soldiers signed went unsold with a low end of ยฃ2.5k, as well as Grin Reaper at 3k. Few more unsigned suprises too, Napalm not selling at ยฃ800 low end, Grannies at ยฃ600 and Sale Ends at ยฃ800.
I think the more time that goes on, the more we'll see what we used to think of premium, auction house quality prints appearing on eBay instead. Frankly prices there tend to be higher than the auction house results we've been seeing lately anyway. A lot of these prints are becoming too much of a liability at bricks and mortar auctions, especially taking into account fees and the sheer volume of unsold lots we're seeing. Either way, estimates at these places and sellers' expectations need to be seriously revised.

Some really good stuff, lots of Freud, Warhol etc, but noticed that they have a complete set of the Laz Micallef Lithos: Girl in red Dress, Minotaur Weapon, We Come in Peace and Bomber Girl (as well as the ed 400 set) All are Printer's Proofs edition of 2 and 4.
GIRD is ยฃ2500-3000 the others all ยฃ1,000-1500 and the set is sold separately at ยฃ500-700 each.
Some Banksy too, Nola, HMV, Laugh Now, Flying Copper and Love Rat all unsigned except Nola.

The people with spare cash at the moment are going for the safer Banksy option in terms of investment so the auction money is not going to go on the Mics.
Unfortunately crap auction results stick in the memory like the odd middle of the night bargain prices on ebay so it looks like we have a new benchmark.
You've got a framed Judgement Day on the forum at ยฃ550 which is of course an absolute bargain, then you've got MWIH going for just over 1k on the bay and Minotaur Weapon etc at ยฃ1k in auction all in the same week.
What is all that about?
