His work is still on display at ocontemporary gallery in Trafalgar St, Brighton. Sick.
That's a beauty.

He took part in the Brighton show and will exhibit with us again. We're just finishing a screenprint with him and have a book planned with him - so basically yes we're big fans and supporters!

Titi Freak ๐ง๐ท Sรฃo Paulo Street Art โข Hamilton Yokota, by br1stol on Jan 29, 2008 14:58:58 GMT 1, Hi all, wondering if anyone can help.
Bought the Sempre print a while back when it was released via POW. Recieved it, opened it, carefully took it out laid it on my clean table, studied it for a while, got knocked out by the smell of it (!) and put it back into its tube. Hve recently found the frame i want for it, got the cash and was ready to get it done. However, today on taking it back out of the tube it has developed some dark patches in the gold ink areas.
It looks like it is starting at the top left hand corner too, although not as deveveloped as the other patches...
Cant really understand why this has happend - the print hasnt been in contact with anything other than the inner POW protection sheets and i dont remember the marks being there before - although i could be wrong and not noticed them first time round.
Could there be an error with the gold ink? I notice that the affected area has only darkend on the gold ink itself, not on the paper it's printed on, which makes me think it is an issue with the ink. Any ideas? Anyone else have this print or any others with gold ink and had the same problem?
Very odd. Not very pleased. Has anyone got POW's contact email so that i can forward this problem to them? ( I cant get it off the site as it is closed at the mo...)
Cheers

Titi Freak ๐ง๐ท Sรฃo Paulo Street Art โข Hamilton Yokota, by br1stol on Jan 30, 2008 10:46:41 GMT 1, I see what your saying there - but no, its not fingerprints. I was super careful with this print (as with all the prints i buy) and didnt touch anywhere near the printed area. Anyway, no worries. I emailed POW, sent the photos, Dora said that these marks could be because each print is individually pulled and could be seen as a bonus. But i think ill return it and get a new one - good swift reply from POW though. Fair play.

Definite 4 greasy paw prints on the bottom pic! - the pizza may have dripped on the other one when you held it in your mouth so you could roll the print out... i've heard of this happening before! Is that pepperoni i smell!!!

Titi Freak ๐ง๐ท Sรฃo Paulo Street Art โข Hamilton Yokota, by rkitek on Mar 14, 2007 21:22:44 GMT 1, Just looking at the "bay" and came across this original Titi Freak piece up for auction [290092444815]. I have no affiliation with the seller, just thought you might like to see it.
Here's an excerpt regarding the piece for those that might be interested.
This 30" x 40" painting was created by the Brazilian artist Titi Freak during a live painting event at Hiro Ballroom in New York City. The party was held to promote Ruas de Sรฃo Paulo, an exhibit held at Jonathan LeVine Gallery from February 17th - March 17th. Each of the works painted by Titi Freak, Zezao, and Onesto at Hiro Ballroom are up for auction to raise funds for the Brazilian artists who came to the US in order to raise awareness for their people, their art, and their landmark exhibition.

Titi Freak ๐ง๐ท Sรฃo Paulo Street Art โข Hamilton Yokota, by alvington89 on Mar 14, 2007 21:51:53 GMT 1, He's an exeptionally talented artist. Managed to pick up a 'Face' print from Tristan at graffitibrazil (as featured at SG). Not keen on the above image but looking forward to the POW offerings when they come up. (assuming they don't sell out in 2 secs!)

went to the Levin show...the pictures on the website absolutely and horribly suck at depicting how good many of the pieces actually looked....
ended up buying an original, Man in Yellow, and very glad I did...can't wait, should ship next week....

Titi Freak ๐ง๐ท Sรฃo Paulo Street Art โข Hamilton Yokota, by rkitek on Mar 14, 2007 23:32:17 GMT 1, It's actually a small mixed media piece on wood that was untitled. It is a white figure on a yellow paint splashed background. I have actually been talking with the guys down in Brazil hoping to get a bigger piece (but not quite as large as Man in Yellow and some of the other ones they have at the Levine show).

Titi Freak ๐ง๐ท Sรฃo Paulo Street Art โข Hamilton Yokota, by jam on Apr 7, 2007 3:42:16 GMT 1, I like most of the things I have seen by Titi Freak. He reminds me a great deal of early work by Lester Johnson, a figurative abstract painter that became well known in the late 50's and through the 60's in NY. The first original canvas I ever bought was by him.
