Ramon is one to watch - I bought a rather big canvas from this dude this year.

Choque Cultural already works with him. He took part in the Brighton show and will exhibit with us again. We're just finishing a screenprint with him and have a book planned with him - so basically yes we're big fans and supporters!

I met him at that show, really nice dude. All those guys are awesome and they churn out some seriously amazing stuff.

Hi all, wondering if anyone can help.

Bought the Sempre print a while back when it was released via POW. Recieved it, opened it, carefully took it out laid it on my clean table, studied it for a while, got knocked out by the smell of it (!) and put it back into its tube.
Hve recently found the frame i want for it, got the cash and was ready to get it done. However, today on taking it back out of the tube it has developed some dark patches in the gold ink areas.


It looks like it is starting at the top left hand corner too, although not as deveveloped as the other patches...


Cant really understand why this has happend - the print hasnt been in contact with anything other than the inner POW protection sheets and i dont remember the marks being there before - although i could be wrong and not noticed them first time round.

Could there be an error with the gold ink? I notice that the affected area has only darkend on the gold ink itself, not on the paper it's printed on, which makes me think it is an issue with the ink. Any ideas? Anyone else have this print or any others with gold ink and had the same problem?

Very odd. Not very pleased. Has anyone got POW's contact email so that i can forward this problem to them? ( I cant get it off the site as it is closed at the mo...)

just checked mine (stored flat in acid free sleeve) and it has no such patches so i think you have an issue there. give pow a shout for sure.

the lower picture looks like fingerprints (4 fingers) maybe thats were you touched it the last time before you put it in the tube and then it reacted with the paint - did you use gloves?

Were you eating a slice of greasy pizza first time you took it out to check by any chance?

Definite 4 greasy paw prints on the bottom pic! - the pizza may have dripped on the other one when you held it in your mouth so you could roll the print out... i've heard of this happening before! Is that pepperoni i smell!!!

He's an exeptionally talented artist. Managed to pick up a 'Face' print from Tristan at graffitibrazil (as featured at SG).
Not keen on the above image but looking forward to the POW offerings when they come up. (assuming they don't sell out in 2 secs!)

went to the Levin show...the pictures on the website absolutely and horribly suck at depicting how good many of the pieces actually looked....

ended up buying an original, Man in Yellow, and very glad I did...can't wait, should ship next week....

Which did you get tamiyama?

I like most of the things I have seen by Titi Freak. He reminds me a great deal of early work by Lester Johnson, a figurative abstract painter that became well known in the late 50's and through the 60's in NY. The first original canvas I ever bought was by him.
