Who knows. I thought about getting a set, self edited as I'l be in Oaxaca next week and will be looking to purchase art there. But I did buy the KAWS Arkitip Simpsons cards in 2010, they had found some in a box from 2000 and put them up on their site for $20 - I bought a set, still sealed, in a shoe box. My only mistake was not buying the entire stock, they go for over $300 now.
Why would anyone want these am i missing something ? I don't get it also. Excitement. Fandom. Souvenir. A feeling of being in France by association. Hoarding pathology. Who knows. 1. We like Invader
2. We like Invader's imagery & style
3. We can't afford $2K plus for a print or kit, but want an Invader image
4. We went to the show and want a memento of our trip
5. We like street art
6. We like art
7. We like postcards
8. We like France
9. We like collecting things
I suppose many others are looking to hold on to them and trade them in the future, give them away to fellow collectors as "thank you's" for deals gone well, frame them as a nice conversation piece, send them to fellow collectors, family and friends as real live postcards are meant to be used, or gasp, sell them at a markup.
Me? I'm mailing one set to my friends who collect art and pasting up the other set in my kids playroom

If I was really a flipper as one man said here few weeks ago, coz I sold three prints of Dran ( i have had to explain and justify myself ) on the eBay machine, I could buy yesterday 3 packs of postcards and sell them then on eBay.
I did not do it because I don't care in fact and I have not enough money to do this ! Only rich men can flip, others are feeding their trolls and sons ( sorry I forgot my dzughter , a bit sexist, but the rhyme is better :-)

Oh I forgot , apparently they are in sale again, Invader Stamped all the night, lol !
