copyright!, by freeisthemagic on Jun 20, 2008 8:34:02 GMT 1, London rascal Copyright has been daubing the streets of the UK from London to Newcastle with his trademark pink swirls for years now and his work has been collected by the likes of Liam Howlett from the Prodigy. 2008 is set to be his year with features in Harpers Bazaar and Modart magazines as well as being extensively featured in both London Street Art Books.
People don't half write a tonne of cod shit to sell a weakly stenciled image for far too much money!

Is that a portrait of "Big" Phil Scolari to the right of it?

That chap looks a bit like Pete Postlethwaite, don't ya think? Which, incidentally, has to be one of the most satisfying surnames to pronounce in the history of human nomenclature. Give it a go people. Postlethwaite.
See - sounds good, doesn't it.

i dont get it, its been the same schpeel for years, liam bought one of the robots way back. what are they supposed to say copyright is an artist. surely its fair enough to write someting about the artists so that people who are interested can get a lil bit more info on the srtist, everyone does it...
for example this is the one for pure evil...
Pure Evil
After moving to California in 1990, Pure Evil spent 10 years printing t-shirts and making music. On his return to London he started spray painting, inspired by American stakeboard culture and the west coast character graffiti of Twist. He has gone on to exhibit work everywhere from Brighton to Beijing.
With themes such as, "What does evil look like?" and "Is Earth actually a deep space battle station created millions of years ago by an evil galactic empire?" The future can only hold more weird and wonderful work from Pure Evil!
I think its nice to have a lil ablout the artists you're gonna shell out for, and if liam bought one of his paintings why not say, i mean the ammount of times brad and angelina are mentioned in the same sentance as Banksy...come on!!!

Fair enough eddiedangerous, i agree everyone writes some schpeel to sell their work and give some insight into the artist, which is great, i just dont think you need to start using the rich and/or famous to make your point, its the art and the artist that's interesting, not Liam, Brandgolina or uncle tom cobbly
