very funny but harsh
..I do think its pretty brave to put your work up to let others comment. I like to see new stuff whether good or bad. I dont mind this peice to be honest.

I think the blow torch comment was to add to your feel of stripping back and I do not think it was meant as a derogatory comment. Not sure if it would work but might be fun trying. With or without the torch I think this image looks great although to get the full impact I am guessing it needs to be seen in reality.

Hi Neverwork, can you just explain - are the pictures at the top of the hardwood version or the canvas version? I can't tell from the detailed shots if the pattern is from canvas or if it's that nobbly pattern on the back of rough side of hardboard. Either way it's not a bad looking piece at all, but as Harveyn says I think you need to be able to get your nose right up to the original to see everything that's going on. Look forward to seeing what a backlit perspex version will look like

sure thing mate, its the nobbly pattern from the rough side of a piece of hardboard, it wasn't easy to photograph this one as it just didn't pick up the fine details. will try to get some better shots tomorrow (if its a nice day!).
