I will get the statement posted up here after it arrives so he can attempt to clear his name. Strangely the "Solicitor" would not tell me their name, phone number, email address, or website

Very odd for a solicitor who is acting on behalf of a client to be unwilling to give you their contact details.
This is sounding more and more like a UK version of JSG every day what with threats from non existent solicitors and all. I wouldn't be surprised if he offered up a gold flags for sale next...or perhaps some Dface?
